Last Sunday I went to a bbq at Zay's apartment to celebrate Eija's birthday. We went there early so that Nas and I could start the fire first. Usually it would take us about an hour or so just to start the fire with all the trial and error. But this time we felt it was easier. I guess practice does makes perfect because it didn't take us that much time to start it. But we did make a mistake though when Nas flatten the charcoal because he thought it was ready when it's not. So in the end the ember died and we had to start all over. Thanks Nas. And kesian Jaja because I can see that she wanted to just be with me during the whole time but I on the other hand was too preoccupied with the bbq. It's not that I have to but I just enjoyed it. Until when she asked me to come and sit with her on the swing, that's when I realised i haven't been attending to her. So I just pushed her on the swing, took some photos and I was back on the bbq. Shame on me.
Other than the bbq, the pool was also fun. The slide actually not the pool. The pool was only 3 feet deep and you can't really swim in it. Zaf and I were like small boys running and shouting on the slide. At first Jaja and Nas didn't want to join us but when they see us screaming like school kids, they just had to. Jaja borrowed Eija's shirt but she couldn't slide because the shirt wass too coarse. She tried sitting on me but that didn't work. I guess the best way is to wear a bikini :) Nas tried the slide and his big spalsh almost emptied the pool.
Since it was Eija's birthday, we wanted to push her into the pool. What's the point of having a birthday party by the pool if you don't throw the birthday girl in the pool right? Zay's was on it. He was going to make sure she's not holding her purse or handphone. But then somehow it didn't happen. I was just too hooked on the bbq and I saw Eija going up and down busy entertaining her friends. So we didn't find the right time to do it. Damn...I guess we'll just have to wait for the next pool party.
All in all it was great fun. The bbq was a success. Cleaning up was a bummer but it was worh it.

Late nights
It's 6 o'clock now and it looks like it's gonna be another late night at the office. This past few weeks have been crazy. I don't remember the last time I was at home having dinner while watching CSI. It doesn't bother me that much because I knew this is how my life is going be like once I chose to be in advertising. But then, it's the people around me who needs to adjust themselves with me. My mom hardly sees me nowadays, I hardly hang out with my friends now and Jaja's getting tired of not getting to spend more time with me. I just can't promise when I can see her because F.A can just pop up any day. So what now? This is the path I've chosen to live my life and the late nights comes with the package.
